Meet the Team!

Porter Lunsford
Role: Team Leader, Builder, and Driver
“I love robotics because I get to take a problem, brainstorm a solution, and then build a solution to the problem. Engineering is a huge part of robotics, and I want to major in Aerospace- engineering in college. I am a natural leader and enjoy challenges.”

Caden Singleton
Role: Builder and Driver
“I participate in robotics because I have a passion to join the military in an engineering field. Robotics is a great start for me to achieve this goal.”

Noël Waters
Role: Engineering Notebook Manager and Website Manager
“Robotics sparked my interest because of all the mechanics, engineering, and brainpower involved as well as the teamwork skills it builds. I would like to pursue engineering as a career. I am currently leaning toward aerospace or Imagineer (Disney theme park architect). I believe my love of algebra and the inner workings of machines (along with my organization skills) would be useful in either career.”

Andrew Giadrosich
Role: Programmer and Builder
“I love all things STEM related. I want to study engineering and have a career in an engineering field. I decided to join the robotics team because it brings together problem solving, teamwork, and competition.”

Grace Cobb
Role: Builder and Driver
“I do robotics because it has always interested me, and I enjoy facing new challenges and trying new things. I love getting to work with a great team and learning new things on the way.”

Jonathan Sellers
Role: Lead Programmer, Builder, and Treasurer
“I am a dedicated member of the robotics team because I excel at problem solving. I am skilled at programming, and I programmed our bot to function independently which greatly contributed to our success in previous years.”

Nathan Duncan
Role: Lead Driver and Builder
“I am a skilled driver and builder. I am honored to serve as our team’s lead driver. In previous years my driving skills contributed to our success at State. I work well with others and enjoy employing humor to inspire my teammates. I participate in robotics because I enjoy it, and I know I will benefit from the experience in significant ways as I pursue college and careers.”
